A database corruption locked the staff out of their scheduling and digital X-ray software (Dentrix) right as the clinic opened. Our rapid response team identified the issue and restored a clean snapshot from our off-site backup within 40 minutes. The practice was back online before the first patient was seated, avoiding a full day of cancellations and thousands in lost production.
What we did
- Immediate Response: Mobilized our critical response team within 10 minutes of the initial distress call.
- Database Recovery: Restored the Practice Management Software (PMS) to full functionality using our redundant cloud backup solution.
- Hardware Assessment: Ran full diagnostics on the physical server to rule out hard drive failure as the cause of the corruption.
- Staff Coordination: Worked directly with the office manager to verify that the scheduling and billing modules were fully operational.
- Future Proofing: Implemented a new "snapshot" backup schedule to occur every hour, minimizing potential data loss in the future.
